ibContact - Email Marketing Integration for IP.Board

What is ibContact?

ibContact is a product to integrate leading email marketing services such as iContact, Constant Contact, or MailChimp with your IP.Board community member base.

Can I do that? Don't I have to have explicit permission?

Yes, absolutely. Every member sets a preference in IP.Board indicating whether they wish to receive email from the administrator. ibContact will use this preference to ensure that users who don't wish to receive email from you are not included in your campaign lists.

How much will ibContact cost?

ibContact will be affordably priced depending on which modules you want to use. Current plans are for the base product to cost $49 with one module included at no charge, and additional modules to cost $15 each. Generally speaking, most people will only have need of one module. Developer documentation will be available to allow community members to product their own integration modules.

Why would I buy this product rather than just exporting and importing manually?

Not only does ibContact sync all your members who want to receive contact with your email marketing lists, it will also allow you to compose and send your campaign emails, right from the IP.Board ACP! All done with the familiar rich text editor you're already using. Yes, even BBCode is supported! (BBCode will be converted to HTML on sending).

Will it be encoded?

It is possible some of the application may be encoded. In any event, we have no intention of integrating weird licensing schemes with activation or callbacks.

When is it coming out?
